STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that the Holy Bible consists of 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament, is the infallible and authoritative Word of God. Every book in the Bible was written through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (2Timothy 3:16).

We believe that there is only one God eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the So,n and God the Holy Spirit. These three are equal in every divine perfection and they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Matthew 3:16-17).

We believe in God, the Father, the Creator, the Sustainer of life, controller of all His creation, an infinite personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that because of His mercy He is concerned in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer (Psalm 91:15-16)

We believe that God saves from sin and death, all who come to Him through Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, is the only way to God (Matthew 3:16-17; John 14:6)

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ (John 1:1-4; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:1-5)

We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:30-35)

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:30-35)

We believe that Jesus Christ was crucified, died, and was buried. (John 19:30-35). We believe that on the third day He rose from the dead bodily (John 20:25-29; Luke 24:36-40), later ascended into heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God (Acts 1:9-11; Mark 16:19)

We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23): But Jesus Christ paid the price by dying on the cross, to redeem us from the law of sin and death and restore us back to God. All who repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour are saved and regenerated by the Holy Spirit (John 3:16-18)

We believe that after physical death, there is an eternal abode; those who believe in Jesus Christ as personal saviour and Lord immediately go to be with Christ who is at the Father’s right hand, a dwelling place often referred to in the Word of God as heaven (2Corinthians 5:8): those who do not believe in Jesus Christ as personal saviour and Lord are cast into hell fire immediately after death. Hell is a literal place for everlasting punishment where unbelievers go awaiting final judgement (Luke 16:22-24)

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, the third Person of the Trinity who convicts of sin, He bears witness to the truth of the Gospel in preaching and testimony; He is an agent in the new birth, indwells all believers in Jesus Christ, baptize then into the body of Christ and seals them unto the day of redemption (Romans 8:9; 1Corinthians 3:16-17; Ephesians 5:18-20).

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the evidence of which is speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (1Corinthians 14:18)

We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today (1Corinthians 12:1-10).

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides divine intervention in every area of life to those who believe (Isaiah 53:4-5; 1Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:18; Psalm 91:14-15)

We believe that Christian baptism is by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit to those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior (Matthew 28:19; 26-38)

We believe that the Lord’s supper was instituted by Christ for the commemoration of His death, burial, resurrection, and His return to Earth (1Corinthians 11:23-26)

We believe in the rapture of the church; when it occurs, the dead in Christ will rise first and those who are alive shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. We believe that this will happen before Christ returns to Earth for a second time to fulfill (Old Testament) Bible prophecy (1Thessalonians 4:16-17)

We believe that after the rapture of the church, those who are left behind will go through a seven-year period of tribulation (Revelation 6:1-17)

We believe in the dispensational form of premillennialism that the Lord Jesus Christ returns to Earth for the second time with His church before the millennium, rules, and reigns as Davidic King (Revelation 19:11-21; Revelation 1:7)

We believe in the resurrection of the lost after a millennium to eternal judgment and separation from God for all eternity (Revelation 20:11-15)

We believe in a New Heaven and a New Earth where the righteous dwell (Revelation 21:1-2)
